Mompreneurs: ‘’The Balancing Act’’

Mothers who chose to become entrepreneurs and operate a business have to balance the equally demanding roles of business owner and mother. Anyone who has made this choice will tell you it can be a challenging one. But it is truly possible to be both a nurturing caretaker of little ones and a successful businesswoman.

Combining these two very demanding and intricate life roles can be super fun and highly rewarding. The exciting thing is that by making the choice to become a mompreneur, we are saying to ourselves, "I am responsible for my future."

Balancing the energy and actions it takes to create a thriving business and raise a happy family at the same time takes skill and dedication.  It really works best if we live from choice rather than default.

Some people believe that achieving success has to be strict and schedule-based, but sometimes putting rigid guidelines on creativity can actually stifle the future possibilities rather than create it.

When you are trying to force yourself to sit down and create on a schedule, then there are bound to be problems. It’s about control. That can create a limitation for you. If you were to let the need to control go, you would have even more choice about how you could create.

Whether you believe in the need to control or not, the fact of the matter is that sometimes, the inspiration to create simply isn’t there. That can be challenging for some, even discouraging. But once you stop putting pressure on you to create, that is usually when the workflow becomes effortless.

You do not want to put yourself in a position where you are burning yourself out or creating out of integrity with your highest potential. That is why it is helpful to pay attention to when you create the most comfortably and under what conditions you are able to produce your best work.

The key to creating meaningful things is not to force it. When you force yourself, you lock you into a point of view where you have no other choice.

What will you find most helpful in becoming a successful mompreneur?

Choosing to function from the space of choice and infinite possibility, hands down. If you have points of view that the balancing act is burdensome,  and you don’t have fun with it, you will get burned out quickly – trust me.

If you approach being an entrepreneur mother with the point of view that it is burdensome and difficult, it stands little chance to be awesome and thriving. If you approach it with the mindset of everything is a choice and truly possible, fun, adventure and curiosity, your life will be remarkable!

Becoming a successful mompreneur can be fun if you let it. Think of it this way: you are putting in the time to write the blueprint you need in order to become the master of your destiny. What could be greater than that?

Albert Einstein put it this way: "There are only two ways to live our life: one is as though nothing is a miracle, and the other is as though everything is a miracle." Our mindsets and viewpoints create our reality. Our life will expand or contract according to our points of view.

The good news for most of us is that success and happiness is just a mindset away for each one of us. For we have the power to choose our points of view.

To become a thriving mompreneur, begin by practicing the art of living life as though everything is a miracle, then matching your actions to your thoughts.  It takes practice and dedication, but it can be done!

Knowing where you like to work and what you like to work with, along with your most favorable physical conditions can make all the difference in the world between an uninspired day and a day that is full of creative possibilities and accomplishments.

Acknowledging your creative workflow can help you to achieve things you might only have dreamt before. Mastering your destiny has never been easier!
