Embracing Change

I'm just about to turn 60 and by normal standards this would be defined as getting old.  As I reflect on my life and who I am being today, I realise that I am not seeing turning 60 as ageing or getting old, but rather as something to celebrate and rejoice. That awareness and insight into embracing change was an "aha" moment for me.

I'm convinced that the key element that separates people who age well from people who age badly is their point of view about life and living, and about what ageing actually means to them. If we are in resistance and reaction to change, instead of being willing to change, we kill our body in the process. However, when we choose to embrace change and embrace life as it is we get to enjoy life more.

I'm truly not interested in seeing getting older as a problem. In my view learning to embrace change as I am getting older and be grateful for who I am and for the life I have created are the most important things I can do. I know that only by opening ourselves up to change, can I start to step into the fullness of life.  I believe that if we can truly embrace change and put our energy on who we choose to be, where we desire to create, what we want to discover, what new adventures await, the magic part transpires organically.

"By changing your mind, you change everything. .............................. When you are inspired by some great purpose, some extraordinary project, all your thoughts break their bonds: Your mind transcends limitations, your consciousness expands in every direction, and you find yourself in a new, great, and wonderful world. Dormant forces, faculties and talents become alive, and your discover yourself to be a greater person by far than you ever dreamed yourself to be.” ..... PATANJALI

Do you create your life the way you would like it to be?

Do you see the miracle of life around you?
